Bugatti unveils world’s most expensive car with £14million price tag (Photos)

Bugatti unveils world's most expensive car with £14million price tag (Photos)At the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, French luxury car maker Bugatti unveiled a car that sold for €14 million (₦6.6 billion), making it the most expensive new car ever.
The arrival of La Voiture Noire, or the Batmobile as it has been nicknamed by the motoring press, had been teased on social media for weeks by Bugatti.
The car boasts six exhaust pipes, an eight-litre, W16 engine and a top speed of 261 mph.
One has already been purchased but the identity of the new owner has not been disclosed, although there is speculation that it could be Ferdinand Piëch, the motoring industry tycoon whose family were founding shareholders in the Volkswagen and Porsche empire.
Mr Piëch, 81, a former chairman of Volkswagen, may have got a discount on the price tag as Bugatti is one of VW’s luxury brands. La Voiture Noire takes its design cues from one of Bugatti’s classic models, the Type 57SC Atlantic.
Only four were made, between 1936 and 1938, and three survive.

Taxify rebrands; changes name to Bolt

Taxify, BoltTaxify, the leading European on-demand transportation platform, has changed its name to Bolt and introduced a new logo. The update brings the brand identity in line with the company’s broader vision of transportation that has already expanded from ride-hailing, with cars and motorbikes, to scooter sharing.
Speaking on why the company chose to make the change, Markus Villig, CEO and co-founder, Bolt said, “Taxify launched five years ago with a mission to make urban transportation more convenient and affordable. Our first product was a taxi dispatch solution that gave the company its original name.”Taxify, Bolt“While we’ve made progress on our mission, we’ve also started to outgrow parts of our brand, including the name. Given our ambition to solve transportation problems on an increasingly broader scale, we want the brand to reflect the company’s future rather than the past. Our new name ‘Bolt’ stands for fast, effortless movement – exactly what the experience of getting around in a city should be, be it by car, scooter or public transport. It also underscores our belief that the future of transportation will be electric”, Regional Manager for West Africa at Bolt, Uche Okafor, explained.
The new brand will be gradually rolled out across Bolt’s global markets over the following weeks. Bolt users will not need to take any action as the app will update automatically.
